Full-Time, TERM Summer Internship Position

The Professional Intern – Business Analyst will support ongoing initiatives for
both the Birchwood Used Vehicle Services and Business Analyst teams. Reporting
to the Asset Manager, the Business Analyst will act as a resource in support of
a number of business operations. The successful candidate will play a key role
in defining trends and areas of opportunities for the Birchwood Automotive
Group.
Professional
Interns have been an integral part of Birchwood for over 25 years. The
professional intern program has evolved to include an immersive experience that

Project
Opportunities
·
Analyze monthly client financial
results using financial analysis models and tools.
·
Take part in a team environment, while
providing real-time collaborative feedback on asset procurement and
reallocation.
·
Gain exposure to the used vehicle
marketplace at an operational level, thus being strategically placed to
influence decision making.
·
Research & develop key reports to
assess accuracy & effectiveness in KPI reporting by utilizing analytics
software including Power BI.
·
Assist in inventory risk assessment
and mitigation activities.
·
Develop initiatives to reduce inventory
inefficiencies and to improve inventory Return on Investment (ROI).
Qualifications:
·
Participating in the Asper School of Business Co-op program,
preferably in their third or fourth year of studies.
·
Majoring in Business Analytics is preferred.
·
Creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new
approaches and solutions.
·
Demonstrates an understanding of Return on Investment,
micro-economics and business acumen.
·
Basic experience using Power BI is required.
·
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as you will be
dealing with many stakeholders within the industry.
·
Thrive in a collaborative environment where team support is
encouraged.

A commitment to learning and
professional development.
·
Comfortable leveraging technology for most day-to-day
functions.
·
A valid class 5 driver’s license and
reliable transportation to work is required.
