Used Sales Manager
Reporting Relationship: The Used Sales Manager reports directly to the General Sales Manager.
Job Summary:
The Used Car Sales Manager oversees the used inventory program including the full cycle of purchasing and sales within the dealership. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and works with a great sense of initiative. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Used Car Sales Manager collaborates with the General Manager, Fixed Operations, and external stakeholders to run an efficient and profitable used car operation.
Responsibilities:
• Managing Pre-Owned inventory, forecasting future demands and identifying trends
• Collaborating with auctions and other dealers on the procurement of vehicles
• Handle all appraisals during the acquisition process
• Reviewing trade-ins and ensuring that vehicles meet Birchwood’s standards
• Working directly with the service and parts departments to ensure efficiencies with safeties and reconditioning
• Partner with Sales Managers, during the used car sales process, including pricing and negotiation
• Responsible for the management of dealership’s used vehicles, ensuring vehicle descriptions and pictures ensuring the integrity of Birchwood’s branding
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of Inventory Management in a Retail or Sales capacity is preferred
• Previous experience in Automotive Sales or Automotive Finance is preferred
• Education in Business Administration, Project Management or related studies is an asset
• High attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Comfortable leveraging technology for most day to day functions preferred (Microsoft Excel)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clear driver's abstract
